We got back to Philly safe and sound. Unfortunately the woman sitting next to me did not since I smacked he in the face with my backpack...and she already had a broken arm.
Nobody's perfect.

A less ADD post
Thursday: Jordan and I went prairie dog hunting which unfortunately failed miserably. However, we did enjoy some nice pbrs in the park. Later that night we met up with two of ben's friends Kendall and Monique and went to a Mexican restaurant where they had two for one huge margaritas. After margaritas, we went to a country bar where it was ladies night (free cover and free drinks fuck yeah). It was amazing. There was so many cowboy boots and flannels. There was line dancing, which included a creepy old man tryna get down. The drunk dancing people in Denver are the best. A man asked me what my name was and thinking that he had asked me to dance I said "no thanks I'm good". Whoops. Awkward. SNS.
Jordan even sacrificed her number to get them to play wagon wheel. It was tau sig rho heaven.
In addition, Ben got significantly more drunk then the rest of us because he kept stealing our drinks.
Friday:
We went to dinosaur ridge and saw real life dinos that were neither real or lifelike. However, we got to see dino footprints which was amazing. It also turns out that for a while Colorado and a lot of the Midwest were underwater so a lot of the rock looks like a sandy ocean bottom. It's amazing to think that dinosaurs roamed around on the same land as us.
At dinosaur ridge, we discovered a path that led us up to the top of the ridge. The view was phenomenal, by far one of my favorite views of the trip.
Then on our way back to the car, we saw PRAIRIE DOGS. millions of them! I couldn't have been happier. They're the cutest things in the world. I attempted to trap one but I was unfortunately not successful. Eeegads.
That night, we went to go see oz the great and powerful in 3d (for only 10 dollars!!).
Saturday was a huge snow storm but ben's family came and we went out to dinner at bar Louie, which was delish. Ben's family is awesome. His brother came back to ben's with us and got him sufficiently fucked up.

weee
so we're coming to the end of our trip and i realized i haven't posted anything in a while. or well like two days. but whatevz.
yesterday, we went to dinosaur ridge and saw real life dinosaurs. that were not so real or lifelike. it was super confusing at first since they dont have information on where the trail really starts but we figured it out because we are geniuses. we got to see dinosaur foot prints. do you know how amazing that is?

real life dinos walked here. shet.
then we climbed up the side of the ridge where you could see for basically forever. we stayed up there for the majority of the trip. here are some picz that don't do the view any justice.
proof that i am in tau sig. since documenting vacations via selfies is a thing these days.
on our walk back to the parking lot we saw prairie dogs! millions of them. which was awesome and extremely exciting since we did not see any on our prairie dog hunt yesterday (ben's fault). which now reminds me that you did not hear about our thursday. whoops. basically we shotgunned some beers, went prairie dog hunting, that as you know failed, and got drunk. thursday night was pristine. we went to a mexican restaurant and got two for one huge margaritas and then went to a country bar where it was ladiez night (free cover and drinks!) . it was tau sig rho heaven. flannel, cowboy boots, country music, and line dancing. ben got wasted off the free drinks, that sneaky sneaky mom, but then got in trouble for drinking the free drinks. jordan got them to play wagon wheel (after exchanging numbers with the guy hehe true luv is blossoming).
i'll write more later. ben's parents are here. sorry for the ADD post.

Parks and Cheesesteaks and Prairie Dogs...OH MY!
Today we are going to see prairie dogs!! (Cason's dream come true, weird, I know...). Apparently they're like squirrels here and Ben's friend told us we should drive there and try to run them all over. -__-
Anyway, we've kinda just been bopping around Denver for the last few days. We walked pretty much a half hour in every direction and found something interesting. There are so many parks here! The one where we found Narnia had this amazing playground and giant sledding hill that we rolled down (idk if Cason already talked about this but I'm reminiscing sooo... yeah.) We found one yesterday that looked amazing and had all kind of trails to run around, and these weird cone shaped pod things. Kind of creepy.
Speaking of that, the architecture here is really unique. We walked down one street and found this stucco Aztec looking house with an amazing porch and lots of color, next door was a split-level wooden house that was more rustic looking, and next to that a two story contemporary complete with red white and blue shutters. Even the benches are different here with metal designs and stone ottomans. Anyone could move here and find something they like (and I suggest you all do ;))
Another amazing thing here: the food! Yesterday, after much deliberation because we are two of the most indecisive people ever, we decided to go to this restaurant down the street called the Berkshire. We found our later that it's been on the Travel Channel! Cason got this amazing pulled pork sandwich and I had one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had (sorry philly). We also got some local organic chocolate yummm.
And now we're off..........................prairie doggin'
someone help me if cason tries to bring one home as a pet
weed.

thrifting, exploring, and nomming..hard
yesterday = complete success. we went to goodwill, where i found this awesome cashmere sweater, a duck doormat for ben, and the same stuffed animals (vegetables?) that marina and abby have.
then we wondered around Stapleton, a development/town outside of denver and found the most amazing playground. literally moving out here so my kids can play at this playground. there was also a hill that once you climbed to the top you could see the entire town. pictures will never do it justice. and like the normal college students that we are, jordan and i rolled down the hill. if you haven't done that recently, then i highly recommend it.
this week is restaurant week in denver, meaning that all the expensive five star restaurants are doing a 5280 deal. where for two people, the meal is 52.80, basically buy one get one free. the food was amazing. we went to fugo de chao, a brazilian steakhouse. they had an amazing salad bar with anything you could imagine. ANYTHING.
so what happens at a steakhouse, if you have never been (it was our first time yesterday too!), each person gets a coster that says "yes, please!" or "no, thanks!" (i stole mine..obviously). these waiters come around with legit swords covered in steaks. you say what you want, which is rare obviously. if you like well done steak get out. you take your little tongs and they just slice the meat off the spear and begin nomming. until you realize that you are literally being SWARMED by men with swords full of steak aka paradise is surrounding you and you feel like a god of all steaks.
that is what life should be like everyday.
peace out girl scoutz

gooooooood morning
no, i am not studying abroad. twas a drunken joke. i assumed it'd be obvious that i'd never miss graduation. and i would definitely tell people because well...i can't keep my mouth shut about exciting things.
so i just woke up. jordan is still asleep but i really want to delete my facebook status but i want to show her the comments. i hope i didn't freak anyone out or offend them. but after hearing it's a joke shouldn't you be super excited that i'm not leaving you?
jordan and i found a thrift shop last night so that is where we will be spending our day. and then possibly going to happy hour. and then going to this fancy dinner at this 5 star brazilian steak house which has this 52.80 deal. two people can eat normal meals and the total is only 52.80. HOW CRAZY IS THAT? i'm going to eat my weight in steak.
i'll let ya know how that goes
